Vincent Davies & Son Ltd began over one hundred years ago, in 1906, in a small town centre shop on the corner of Friar’s Lane, Bridge Street, Haverfordwest. The shop was known then as Pioneer Stores and was a traditional grocery store catering for the people of Pembrokeshire.
By 1966 the business had outgrown its town centre premises and Vincent’s eldest son Ralph, who was now running the business, took a big, bold step to purchase a larger out-of-town property on the Fishguard Road.
Today, the business, now known as Vincent Davies Department Store, has transformed into an upmarket empire, offering a wide choice of goods for Every Room, Every Season and Everyone. Whilst still firmly believing in quality, value and an excellent customer experience.
